Reign Athletics Academy was envisioned by four young men who wanted to do more than just compete — they wanted to grow. Through prayer and community effort, their vision became reality when they found a leader with the determination, dedication, and experience to bring it to life. Together, they built a program grounded in purpose and faith. Today, Reign Athletics develops resilient athletes who endure adversity, walk in integrity, pursue growth daily, and live notably through excellence and leadership.

JAMES ZIMMERMAN

Head Coach

Coach Zimmerman brings elite professional overseas playing experience and a proven championship pedigree as both a player and developer of high-level talent.

Following a dominant collegiate career at Indian Hills Community College—he chose to finish his collegiate career at UNC Charlotte where he was a two-year starter and helped lead his team in two post season runs. He then went on to compete professionally in Chile, France, Switzerland, and Syria, capturing MVP honors while leading his team to a Swiss cup championship, and gaining elite international experience and a deep understanding of the global game.

A North Carolina native, Coach Zimmerman has since built a respected coaching career across AAU, prep, and program leadership roles, consistently producing disciplined, college-ready athletes through a demanding, detail-driven approach focused on toughness, IQ, and winning habits.

Kenneth AONDOWASE ANUM

Assistant Coach

Coach Anum is a former collegiate and professional basketball player and certified coach with international playing and coaching experience. He played at Western New Mexico University, earning Academic All-American honors, before competing professionally overseas with Košarka Klub Velpak in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina as a starting power forward.

He also earned MVP honors on the Athletes in Action International Tour in the Philippines and Thailand, strengthening his global perspective on the game. As a coach, he has worked across AAU, scholastic, and youth programs, including Durham Flight Homeschool Basketball (NCHEAC) and Arlington Pride U-14 Girls, focusing on fundamentals, skill development, and basketball IQ.

Coach Anum is committed to developing disciplined, confident athletes who grow in character, leadership, and purpose on and off the court.

Sport Performance Coach

Patrik Conteh

Coach Patrik is a certified strength and conditioning coach with 25 years of experience helping elementary, middle school, varsity, and college athletes reach peak performance. He combines science-based training with a strong focus on injury prevention to keep athletes healthy, durable, and performing at a high level.

Having guided over 500 athletes to collegiate scholarships, he specializes in developing explosive power, speed, and athletic performance. His mission is simple—help athletes unlock their full potential and elevate their game.
